BNSF will be having temporary road closures near rail crossings along the US Hwy 60 corridor beginning March 24 for a production track resurfacing project. The only crossing planned for in Webster County is the one on Mineral Road near Seymour.
Courthouse Closed Due to Inclement Weather
The Webster County Courthouse will be closed Tuesday, February 18, Wednesday, February 19, and Thursday, February 20 due to inclement weather conditions.
Courts will be rescheduling in the following days. After Thursday, you may call the Circuit Clerk’s Office at 417-859-2041.

County Offices Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
The Webster County Courthouse (and other facilities) will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

New Polling Location – Fordland Township
The polling place for Fordland Township is changing. Due to space, parking, and other concerns, citizens who formerly voted at the Fordland school will be voting at a new location on November 5th – the Fordland Free Will Baptist Church (936 W. Main St., Fordland).

“Early” Voting – Extended Hours
The Webster County Clerk’s Office is offering extended hours to those wish to vote early (no-excuse absentee):
- Monday – Friday, 8am to 6pm
- Saturday, 10/26, 9am to 1pm
- Saturday, 11/02, 9am to 4pm
Early voting takes place in the Webster County Courthouse (191 S. Crittenden St., Rm. 12, Marshfield MO 65706).

Voter Registration Deadline – October 9th
If you are not currently registered to vote – and want to vote in the upcoming Presidential Election on November 5th – you need to register no later than 5pm on Wednesday, October 9th.
There are a number of locations where you can register in person: the Courthouse, license bureau, or any of the city halls or libraries in Webster County.

Also, if you have changed your name or address recently, please contact the the Webster County Clerk’s office at 417-859-VOTE (8683) to update your registration. It will make your voting experience on Election Day much easier.

Absentee Voting Begins Tuesday, September 24th
Absentee voting for the November 5th General Election begins Tuesday, September 24th. For the first four weeks of the six week absentee voting period, voters who provide a valid reason may cast a ballot either: a) in-person, in the County Clerk’s office; or b) by mail.
During the last two weeks prior to the election, voters may cast a ballot in-person without needing to provide a reason (“no excuse” or ‘early voting’).
To apply to receive an absentee ballot by mail, voters must send an application to the County Clerk’s office. Applications may be obtained by clicking HERE or by calling 417-859-VOTE(8683).
Official Results – August 6, 2024 Primary Election
On Friday morning, the Verification Board convened and conducted a sample hand-count of votes cast at Tuesday’s Primary Election – and certified the Official Results shortly after Noon.
