Courthouse Closed – Reopen Tuesday, December 26th
The Webster County Courthouse will be closed Friday (12/22) and Monday (12/25) to celebrate the Christmas holiday. We’ll re-open at 8am on Tuesday, 12/26.

Candidate Filing for April, 2024 Election Begins Dec. 5th
Candidate filing begins at 8am on Tuesday, December 5th (and ends at 5pm on Tuesday, December 26th) for citizens interested in running for elected office on local school, city, fire and other district boards.
Local government organizations with board openings include:
- Schools (Marshfield, Seymour, Fordland, Niangua, Logan-Rogersville, Conway, Strafford, and Fair Grove);
- Cities (Marshfield, Seymour, Fordland, Diggins, and Fordland);
- Fire (Strafford, Fair Grove, Logan-Rogersville, Elkland, Niangua, and Marshfield); and
- Other (Webster County 911, Ozarks Technical Community College, Webster County Nursing Home District, and Seymour Special Road District).
For specifics concerning office hours and other information, please contact the office of the particular district directly.
Holiday Closure – Webster County
The Webster County Courthouse, Justice Center, and Road Department offices will be closed Thursday and Friday (November 23-24) for Thanksgiving.

Voters in the cities of Marshfield and Seymour will have the opportunity to vote this coming Tuesday, November 7th on the question of whether to impose an additional 3% sales tax on adult-use marijuana.

Public Transportation Needs Meeting
The Southwest Missouri Council of Governments (SMCOG) will be hosting a public meeting on Tuesday, June 13, at 1 p.m. at the Marshfield Senior Center located at 427 W. Washington Street, Marshfield, MO. The purpose of this meeting is to collect public input regarding identified transportation needs and strategies for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and those with low incomes. This is the final stage in the updating of the regional Public Transit Human Services Coordination Plan (PTHSCP).
