Approximately 25% of Missouri homes rely on onsite wastewater treatment systems such as septic tanks. Routine 3–5-year septic pump-outs are imperative for home maintenance and septic tank longevity and health.
Sewage from improperly maintained septic systems creates a source of pollution that can contaminate groundwater as well as our local rivers and lakes. With a pump-out you can save money, reduce your family’s direct impact on our groundwater, and help maintain existing infrastructure.
The James River Basin Partnership (JRBP) has offered rebates for septic pump-outs through our “Fresh Flush” rebate program for several years. Once again this year, in conjunction with our community partners, City Utilities and Greene County, we are able to offer additional rebates up to $150 in certain areas of the James River watershed.
These rebates will help offset the cost of a septic tank pump-out with an approved pumper from a list provided with each application. To sign up for this rebate or inquire further, please contact Todd Wilkinson (417) 836-4847 or fill out the application form at www.jamesriverbasin.com/septic. To receive a rebate, homeowners must submit a rebate application prior to having their tanked pumped.
The James River Basin Partnership, formed in 1997, is an established Springfield, Missouri (501.c3) that works to educate the citizens of southwest Missouri and enhance our local watershed through various programs and education outreach.
