CARES Act Relief Information
Webster County received federal assistance from the 2020 CARES Act. The Webster County Commission recognizes the negative impact that COVID-19 has had on our community, and has opened eligibility for distribution of these funds to: other local governments; non-profits; and private businesses.
The current round of funding under the “Webster County CARES Program” provides up to $7,500 in reimbursement for direct expenses related to fighting the spread of COVID-19 (during the period March 1 through August 31, 2020) to eligible organizations of any size. Small businesses (including full-time farms) and non-profits with 10 or fewer employees could also receive assistance with rent, utilities and other expenses. Priority is given to those who did not receive other federal assistance, or were forced to close during the early phase of the corona-virus outbreak.
